For those who have The Hallmark Channel, tonight at 9 PM EDT the premiere of"The Colt" will be shown. Have no clue about the flick, just that it deals with a CW Soldier and a horse according to synopsis I read.
Scary thing is, one of the lead actors is Steve Bacic, and yep..according to Dadcat, and his family tree stuff, we are related..
Here I thought I was the Hunk of the family..Oh well..:)
Maybe Basecat, J.D. and I can all share the same Hollywood agent? (2 years after Three Days of Destiny and I'm still waiting for that phone call!)
I was channel flipping and caught a few minutes of "The Colt" last night. I didn't actually watch it so I can't give it a fair review. I did notice though that the uniform reproductions and horse tack was generally pretty awful. My two minute evaluation was "thumbs down."

Mike,
You would know better than me equipment wise, and I just caught a few minutes of the movie myself. Scares me that the NY Times gave it a favorable review, but will watch it eventually.
Hell, I was impressed they got the right days when the Battle of the Wilderness was fought. At least that is something. :)
Off to do a novena, as I skipped mass today and watched "Gettysburg" from 7 AM til 1 PM today...Hard to watch Buster's demise, as you know..;)
Then again I did get some religion today. Marse Robert's speech right before Day One starts... "Bow down thy head Oh Lord"..etc.

my family started watching this, and my Dad (who is a civil war buff too.) gave it also a thumbs down. I didn't much care for it and we only got it from netflix to see what it was about.. _________________ Southern Girl
