I believe, percentage wise, Chickamauga was the bloodiest battle of the Civil War with just over 30% casualties.

Antietam.

The CW should have ended soon after that day. Lee had no chance to destroy Meade at GB, but Antietam could have saved tens upon tens of thousands that died in the next 2 1/2 years.
